Now Playing Tracks

I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday for the second time (first time dubbed, this time OV).  I took my little crochet Groot with me and totally forgot, that I had him in my purse over night. So right now he is grooting in the office with me, standing right next to my monitor, and makes me smile and happy every time I look at him. Maybe I should take amigurumi with me every day :-P

2 Pics from yesterday

Groot on his way to our “movie date”. Of course he uses a seatbelt ;)

Groot decided to change from a flower pot to my popcorn bag. yum

(btw: GROSS is German for a big bag…. just in case :D )

I saw the link to this pattern in my Facebook newsfeed today and just had to make it RIGHT NOW :)
I don’t own a flowerpot in the right size, but that is just an extra.

Fun fact: last october I bought ceramic pens and white “piggybanks” at a crafts-fair, with the vague idea of making some fun Christmas gifts. And i did! But there was one left.

Around that time, the first rumours of Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch came up… So I made this frog. It was more of a joke for me (so it is no work of art, certainly), i didnt really plan to go. But I started feeding the frog with the 2€ coins left in my purse. At first every friday, later every evening. Yesterday, spontaneity and luck were on my side.

Got a ticket and it is already paid for, thanks to the frog :)  I’ll keep putting coins in. A year’s worth of 2€ coins should pay for flights and hotel

(I posted this on my other account as well :) )

The Minionguard takes London by storm! -part 4-

I already posted pictures about my crochet Minion-version of the Buckingham Palace guard a while ago.

My mom and I were on a 5 day trip to London. She doesn’t like to be on pictures, so the “Minionguard” was a stand-in for us both :) I made a photobook for her.

Here are some of the pictures I took at the various sights in London on our fourth day (The other days are on/will be on soon)

Today, a proud little guard showed us what his workmates can do. We all visited the “Changing the Guard” at Buckingham Palace. Very impressive!

After seeing so much royal stuff, the Minionguard suggested to have a rest at Trafalgar Square

Afternoon: Time for culture! We had tickets to the Westend production of the Book of Mormon. It was great. Awesome. HI-LA-RI-OUS!!

Anonymous asked:

do you ever plan on selling your bears??

I sold some to friends of mine, but basically it was the cost of the yarn + a cup of coffee and a donation to Sea Shepherd
