Fedcon is over and what a blast it was! Beyond amazing (as always) with gueststars in extreme partymood. But I’ll probably post about that in my other Tumblr, so far I managed to keep this one a crafting blog and take the fangirling part to the other one ;-)
My nerd bears and the avenger dolls were part of the artshow at fedcon. The artshow is a crossover of exhibition and contest: You can show your works in 2 categories (graphics/painting and model/craft) and the visitors can vote for their favourite. The top 3 in each category get a price at the closing ceremonies of the Convention.
I won in model/craft. It is still hard to believe as there were so many amazing works (my personal fav was a steampunk gun with a lot of moving parts and lights and stuff).
Thanks to all attendees who saw the artshow, enjoyed it and voted. Special thanks to everyone who voted for me!!
Impressions from my weekend at FedCon XXII in Düsseldorf, Germany. I really have no clue why tumblr keeps putting the Avenger plushies sideways. But I think they’re so lovely that I still want to put them up. The Nerd Teddybears actually won a competition. I also love Sheldon’s 3D chess.
Thanks to everyone who went to the Artshow and voted!! It was so much fun to be a part of it and I still can’t believe that I won. Thanks again :D
Procrastination crochet style… I should be packing my suitcase, Tetris all things I need at Fedcon into my car and/or clean my appartment…
Finally!! The last Nerdbear before Fedcon is done - I still don’t know if I’ll take them with me, but if I do they’re ready.
Behold: The brownbearcoat with a really cunning hat (that looks as improvised as I never intended… well… it took really a lot of improvisation and chinese cursing).
No idea if Mal would approve, but I love him!
All my BBC Bears… BBC is short for British Bear Crew in this case.
The next member of the Nerdbears knows that the 21 century is when it all changes, and Torchwood is ready! Captain Jack Bearkness will personally take care of it :-D Or should I call him John Bearrowman?
Almost done with my little project for Fedcon’s artshow next week! One bear to go.
A Roughneck and a Softneck are really really looking forward to Fedcon next week! Casper van Dien, Dina Meyer and Patrick Muldoon will be there and I can’t wait to see them on stage :D
The travelling lemons got their very own matching GERTIs. The back will read something like this:
“found the lemon? take a picture, hide it again in another place. post the picture on Twitter including GERTIs colour and the Hashtag #travellinglemon - You don’t know the travelling Lemon? Please leave it where it is.”
